Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the services offered by Amigos de Milou in Silves and nearby areas.

Any request for a service implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Services offered

Amigos de Milou offers the following services in particular:

  • home pet sitting;
  • pet transport;
  • transfers to or from Faro airport;
  • dog training;
  • Sport Pack;
  • canine massage and wellness spa;
  • additional services adapted to the pet’s needs.

Service area

Services are offered mainly in Silves and nearby areas. Requests located further away may be reviewed depending on availability, distance, the requested service and the pet’s needs.

Booking

Services are booked only after prior discussion with the client.

This exchange makes it possible to confirm:

  • the requested service;
  • dates and times;
  • the service area;
  • the pet’s needs;
  • useful health, behaviour and safety information;
  • the applicable price;
  • payment terms.
Important:

No booking is automatically confirmed by sending a form or message. The service is confirmed after agreement between Amigos de Milou and the client.

Prices

Prices displayed on the website are indicated in euros, including applicable taxes.

Prices may vary depending on the requested service, duration, distance, dates, availability, the pet’s specific needs and any particular constraints related to the service.

The exact price is confirmed with the client before the service is carried out.

Payment

Payment is made before the service, unless otherwise agreed directly with Amigos de Milou.

Accepted payment methods are:

  • cash;
  • bank transfer.

The website does not allow online payment.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation or modification of a service, the client must inform Amigos de Milou as soon as possible.

Cancellation or rescheduling conditions may vary depending on the service, the notice period, the planned dates and any organisation already committed.

Client obligations

The client undertakes to provide accurate and complete information about the pet entrusted, including:

  • its identity, age and species;
  • its daily habits;
  • its behaviour with humans, other animals and outdoors;
  • any health problems;
  • any current treatments;
  • any risk of running away, aggression, anxiety or specific reaction;
  • the contact details of the usual veterinarian when useful.

The client must also provide any documents or information required for the service, including the health record, vaccination information or any element useful for the pet’s safety.

Pet transport

For pet transport services, the client must provide or accept the use of equipment adapted to the pet: transport crate, harness, lead or any device required for its safety.

Amigos de Milou may refuse or postpone transport if the safety conditions are not met.

Canine massage and animal well-being

The canine massage services offered by Amigos de Milou are wellness services.

They do not replace veterinary diagnosis, medical treatment, animal rehabilitation or follow-up by an animal health professional.

In the event of significant pain, limping, recent injury, surgery, known illness or doubt about the pet’s health condition, the client must seek veterinary advice before booking.

Veterinary emergency

In the event of an emergency or a situation requiring veterinary intervention during a service, Amigos de Milou may contact a veterinarian or accompany the pet to an appropriate veterinary service.

Veterinary fees, medication, examinations, treatment, additional transport or expenses related to the emergency remain entirely payable by the client.

An additional fee of €25 may be applied for the organisation or accompaniment related to a veterinary emergency, excluding veterinary costs.

Refusal of service

Amigos de Milou reserves the right to refuse, postpone or interrupt a service if the conditions required for the pet’s safety, health or well-being are not met.

This decision may occur in particular in the event of incomplete information, dangerous behaviour, an undeclared illness, lack of suitable equipment or any situation presenting a risk to the pet, the service providers or third parties.

Liability

Amigos de Milou undertakes to carry out services with seriousness, attention and respect for animal well-being.

The client remains responsible for the information provided about the pet. Any omission or inaccurate information that may endanger the pet, the service providers or third parties may engage the client’s liability.
